THE NEXT TIME you’re enjoying a pack of Tayto, look closely at the bag, because it’s gotten a small but very lovely makeover.

From now on, new bags of Tayto will feature the Irish translation of the flavour underneath the English one:

So the bags will say “Brioscáin Phrátaí Faoi Bhlas…

• Cáise & Oinniúin (Cheese and Onion);
• Salainn & Finéagair (Salt and Vinegar);
• Bagúin Dheataithe (Smoky Bacon);
• Nó Manglaim Cloicheán (Prawn Cocktail).”

Those were limited edition packs, but now Irish is here to stay – and the crispmakers say they want it to add it to more of their range of crisps and snacks in the future.
